Ustroń
On 11-12 September 2023, a workshop was held in Ustroń as part of the ongoing Stepping Up
the Implementation of the Decent Work Agenda project, funded by the Norwegian Funds
and concerning decent work for migrants.
The described workshop was the second instalment of the training cycle planned in the project. The meeting focused on the issue of decent work for migrants. As agreed at Kick-off meeting, the training was implemented in a combined format: parallel work of a group of employers and a group composed of representatives
of trade union organisations. Such a formula was intended to increase the potential for the exchange
of experiences and to build even better conditions for discussing the possibilities of realising the labour
rights of migrant workers in the steel industry and the Polish labour market in general.
Two training groups took part in the training. One was made up of representatives and female representatives of employment agencies affiliated to the National Convention of Employment Agencies. The second group consisted of representatives of the Inter-Union Independent Trade Union of Employees of CMC Poland
Sp. z o. o. and Companies.
