During two days of training sessions, we discussed labor law issues, such as the Labor Code, types
of employment contracts, how to conclude them and when. What is the civil and criminal liability
of persons in managerial positions? What is the specificity of employing foreigners, their residence
titles and work permits. Legalization procedures and what is the criminal liability for illegal employment.
We also raised the issue of mobbing in the workplace, how to recognize it and how to identify a mobber
as well as the issues of discrimination and how to counteract it. On the second day, we developed the topic
of the role of the employer in building decent work for migrants. We pointed out what decent work is, what are the main challenges and what we can gain by increasing access to decent work for migrants.
A trade union group at the workshop, we discussed the most important aspects related to shaping the labor law system in the workplace, in terms of the issue of dignity at work. The issues of shaping internal company labor law regulations, including the role of trade unions in their creation, were discussed. The importance that should be attached to shaping the principles of social coexistence as part of determining the basic obligations
of the employer and employee was emphasized. The issue of the impact of the remuneration system
and the adopted organization of working time on the motivation of employees was extensively discussed.
Particular attention was paid to the negative aspects of employment, such as mobbing, discrimination
and harassment.
In our opinion, the training met its objectives.
First of all: the experimental combination of a group of employers and trade unionists in one place was a success. This provided an additional platform for the exchange of experiences and views.
Secondly: combining in one place trainers both in the field of so-called soft and hard skills gave a holistic approach to the discussed issues. The audience could have the impression of a comprehensive discussion
of the issues.
We rate the activity and openness of the listeners as very high. We are convinced that the participants left
the training with a lot of valuable information for further use in their organizations.
