Subject matter

Social dialogue

Numerous international organisations and institutions promote the idea of decent work - the term appears in documents of the United Nations and the European Commission. It is used by trade union activists, employers and politicians.

This is very important because it will only be possible to achieve this objective if it becomes the subject of dialogue between all interested parties, namely employees, employers and state institutions.

Workers' representatives, that is to say, trade unions should be able to negotiate and discuss issues relating to working conditions with employers and to influence national and international political decisions on labour law.
